There was a time when I thought I could never have curly hair or know how to take care of my glorious crown. Back then, my hair just felt like a brillo pad. Do you know what that meant to me? It means you could literally use my hair to scrub a dirty pot clean with the kind of texture I had. LOL. I thought I had to wear braids all the time or a wig to hide it. YouTube videos were not giving me the results I personally needed and I wanted to put an end to this endless run around. In 2011, I transitioned and learned everything I could about my natural hair. 


Then in 2017, I realized I have uncovered the secrets to my natural hair and now my sole mission is to share this secret with every single woman with kinky, curly, coily hair like mines. I want them to help them to discover the true potential behind their natural hair too! #teamnatural


After my first big chop, my hair grew to shoulder length after about 2-years with little to no prior experience. But hear this, the second time I chopped off my hair, due to heat damage, I had 100x's more confidence than when I first began my journey and my hair ended up growing to shoulder length in only 6-months using LESS than half the effort I did the first time!

I was the first in my family of eight children (six sisters and one brother) to go natural, and after I transitioned, all of my sisters joined me on this quest to embrace their natural hair also.


I started seeing the very same desirable hair results over and over with the hair of other the people I had a privilege to care for, and this motivated me to want to help more women with kinky, curly, coily hair to go from the phase of "how the heck do I take care of my hair" to them developing a customized regimen that will help combat dryness and promote hair growth. 

I learned that simple was more effective than a complicated regimen that I knew I couldn't stick to.

Over the last 4-years, I've been able to teach thousands of women of all walks of life to do the same with my proven step-by-step natural hair framework!  My in-person workshop held at my local community church helped me to teach students with different types of hair from all over the world like Switzerland, Haiti, South Africa, Japan, and the Dominican Republic. And now I am ready to teach you too!

I was given the beautiful gift of teaching. When I couldn’t get a job after graduating Nursing school, I applied to every position I saw advertised. I ended up landing a job teaching Home Health Aide students with my Licensed practical nursing license. And with no prior teaching experience, I had developed a course curriculum in just one week! From there, my skills helped me to open other schools and I went on to teaching in prestigious adult education programs in Manhattan. This showed me that my skills to teach others was my strong suit and asset.

I then started my first private Facebook group page in 2016 called "I Am Naturelle (Get Step-by-step natural hair guidance" which was named after my Gladia’s Naturelle brand page. It was sitting idle for about 2-years with just 10 members (my close friends only). I didn't know how to grow or serve. I then realized I could be doing more with it, but what? I decided to start answering people's questions. I had noticed there was a lack in other hair groups where members were getting only one-word answers to their questions. I decided to make my page a place where all their questions got answered in detail. I did the research and I brought the most reputable content directly to them. I added lots of content and flooded my page with answers to every question asked and ensured it provided my members with direction, results, and proven facts. By doing this, I grew my page to over 5,000 members in less than 2-years. Today, I serve over 7,100 members (and counting)!
